Young Authors Initiative · World Children's Day, November 20
Every Child Has a Story Worth Telling.
Help young voices discover their creativity, develop their writing skills, and turn their imagination into stories worth sharing.
In celebration of World Children's Day, WriteDesk is developing a community initiative dedicated to making creative writing education, mentorship, and early publishing opportunities more accessible to aspiring young writers.
Our Mission
Giving Every Young Voice a Chance to Be Heard.
Every child deserves the opportunity to explore their creativity — regardless of their financial circumstances or access to educational resources. WriteDesk believes that the ability to tell a story, to put imagination into words, is a gift that should never be limited by circumstance. We are committed to supporting children who may otherwise lack the opportunities to develop their writing skills, find their voice, and share their stories with the world.

You've Shared Your Story. Now Help a Child Discover Theirs.
We warmly invite authors, publishers, bookstores, editors, educators, and businesses to contribute to this initiative — whether through financial support, learning materials, professional expertise, or volunteer mentorship. November 20
Why World Children's Day?
November 20 is recognized globally as World Children's Day — a meaningful occasion to celebrate children's rights, well-being, creativity, and opportunities. WriteDesk has chosen this date as the launch of our Young Authors Initiative because we believe it represents more than a single annual event. It is an opportunity to create lasting educational opportunities, build a community of support, and remind the world that every child's voice deserves to be heard — not just once a year, but always.
Transparency & Responsibility
Our Commitment to Transparency and Responsibility
WriteDesk is currently developing the Young Authors Initiative and is committed to communicating clearly and honestly about all program activities, funding administration, and how donor contributions are used. We will provide regular updates as the initiative grows. Please note: WriteDesk is not a registered nonprofit organization, and contributions to this initiative are not tax-deductible. We do not claim that any specific contribution amount directly funds one individual child. Our goal is to build a responsible, community-driven program that creates genuine opportunities for young writers.
